’cause now I have to find someone else when all I wanted was you

Word: Fairytale

The king and queen who were lost and wandering together a future that was like a fairytale.

I keep telling myself that I need to stop drinking whiskey in the middle of the night just because I can’t forget the thought of you makes me sick.

But I rather drink it until my mind is dull than swearing that I felt your heart beat my name when we lie next to each other, trying to understand why it hurts so much when you told me there’s no future for us, and remembering the way your voice sounded when you told me you first loved me.

If “I love you” were always outspoken when it might be, there would, I suppose, be no fear of its desecration at any after time.
