I mentioned I went to SoCal the last week of April in this post, but besides going for a wedding I was able to visit some restaurants as well as see some friends!
This post is picture heavy! You were warned!
I ended up decided to take my new bag with me to SoCal, and here’s me shamelessly posting more pictures of it. Most the pictures are from Laguna Beach, but there’s some food pictures of other places thrown in.
My first stop was in Laguna Beach. We went to Las Brias for brunch. While I was waiting for everyone to arrive, I took so many photos of the surrounds (and me)!
I know it gets annoying to ask others to take photos of you, so I recently bought a tripod with a remote to take photos. It’s not so bad! It took me a while to get the hang of it, especially finding the right place to set it due to it being so small.
Since it was still early in the morning, the place empty, so I got to sit right next to the window looking out to the ocean!
Also, there was an unlimited amount of coffee, so I had about 4ish ~ maybe 5 cups.
Yes, that’s a lot of coffee. I prefer tea more, but with brunch, coffee seemed to be the right choice along with mimosas.
I ended up ordering a crab egg benedict with a side of fruit, and it was so delicious! I’m a big fan of egg benedicts and waffles.
Before leaving Laguna Beach to the next location, I was able to walk around the shore. It’s been a while since I’ve gone to the beach. My best friend’s house has a private beach as his backyard, so most summers I would go there to stay with him, but we would never go to the beach. I think he wanted to, but I always refused. (Sorry, Dustin!)
Looking back, I wished we went instead of being glued to watching Anime or whatever we were doing instead.
Later in the evening, I got to go get some shaved ice! Ugh, this was such a treat. I want more shaved ice this summer.
Day 2 was the wedding. I didn’t really take photos of me, but this is my favorite snapshot of Tim.
The last day, I was able to meet up with some friends (James — grandfather, Lucy, Kim, and Yan). We went to get some chicken and waffles. The chicken was fried just to the right crispy level. I still haven’t found a place I liked up here in NorCal for some chicken and waffles.
With little time left before the flight, I stopped by CSU Long Beach’s Japanese Garden. It was so hot that day!
Until next time SoCal!
Also, just to be gross:
