Snip, Snip

By on September 21, 2017

With fall about to roll in, and the feeling of wanting to wear something flowy, I pulled out my maxi dress with bright pink flowers. This is actually the only maxi dress I own. I’m 5’2, so I’m pretty short, and most maxi dresses are overflowing and I look like I’m drowning in them.  But I got this from Macy’s INC’s petite section. Even though it’s petite, it’s still pretty long and I actually wearing my wedges to not let the dress hit the floor.

Also, Tyler got a good photo of me as I was on the phone talking to my mother. Thank you, Tyler!

But new update: I decided to dye my hair in a light shade of brown. I didn’t bleach my hair, so it doesn’t look like it too much, but I also got straight bangs again.

The last time I bleached my hair was back in high school. But back then, because I dyed my hair quite often ~ half of college, I was confident in bleaching and dying my hair myself. I really like my hair being in a chesnut shade, but the shade I really want to try once is a pastel color. The upkeep for pastel hair is difficult, and that’s probably why I haven’t tried.

Anyways, why do I have my hair in buns in the first two photos? I wanted to curl my hair, but I knew I didn’t have time during the day to do so before dinner/movie night last Friday. Instead, due to the lack of time, I wrapped them into these two buns after I showered from the night before and left them there all day until after work. The hardest thing about these buns is making sure you split your hair evenly.

The final result is no-heat curled hair! My curled hair lasted all night, so I was pretty happy with the result.

I was looking for some more maxi dresses, and since it’s almost fall most of these dresses are starting to go on sale. Here’s some of my picks (the last one on this widget is my dress but in a different pattern):

Do you guys have any no-heat methods that you do? I have heard people tie their hair in leggings, and it lasts for a couple of days. I haven’t tired that out myself, but it’s nice to have a change in your hair.

Let’s Meat

By on June 26, 2017

I started off this summer with my boyfriend’s graduation. His family came from Texas and SoCal to see him walk, so the leading days to his graduation we traveled with his family meeting old friends and doing some sight-seeing.

But the following week, I went to eat at House of Prime Rib! I don’t think I have eaten here for over a year or so. Every time there’s an occasion, I am out-of-town. Regardless, I never have had a disappointing dinner here. The past couple of years, this place has been really busy (not that it wasn’t busy before). The Food Network featured them, and then a huge fluctuation of people started coming. Before, I believe I could walk in and wait maybe 30~45 minutes. Now, I don’t think walking in is a wise decision.

House a Prime Rib is a classic staple in San Francisco. Though it is a nice restaurant, it has an inviting casual ambiance. I would definitely recommend going here if you’re in the city!

Memorial Weekend Shopping

By on May 30, 2017

This Memorial weekend had so many sales! I was able to grab some items that I have been keeping my eyes on for a while.

Pretty Little Things HaulI recently found Pretty Little Things, but I haven’t been able to purchase anything until now. I’ve wanted a pastel pink and pastel blue overcoat for a while, but I haven’t been able to find one until now! This midi dress I saw on another blog, and I really wanted it. I thought this was the perfect dress for a night out or semi-formal situation for the summer. Also, all these items I got for 50%, (Slay50) so this was such a steal!

Scalloped

The other item I purchased was this swimsuit from Zaful. I’ve been on the hunt for a scalloped swimsuit, and I’ve been on the fence about purchasing a swimsuit because I’m not that comfortable with my body, but I have been working out and am planning to go to the beach more often / maybe go swimming too.  The color I got was in blue, but Polyvore only had it in red. I also got a similar scalloped dress above, not from Zaful but from Macy’s, but I couldn’t find an image of it. It was on sale, and it seems to be from last season.

Did you guys get anything this Memorial Weekend? I know Nordstrom is having their Anniversary Sale, and normally I purchase items from there, but I don’t need anything pressing right now. I’m pretty happy with all the items I purchased above.

Let me know if you got anything cool this weekend! I would love to see!

It’s bright out

By on May 28, 2017

A couple of weeks ago, I was just writing out it’s been raining off-and-on, and I think the Bay Area is finally starting to warm up to spring! Since it’s spring, the sun is out and somewhat glaring. What does that mean? Sunglasses!

In a previous post, I wrote how I couldn’t forgive myself for losing so many nice pairs of sunglasses. Even though I haven’t been able to let go yet, it doesn’t mean that I don’t need sunglasses! I recently found this brand called Feisedy. The prices are decent, quite affordable, and I couldn’t find any negative review that made me not want to purchase them, so I decided to purchase two pairs.

The first pair I got was the silver/silver pair. This one goes with almost everything, so that’s a plus! The other pair I purchased was in gold/pink pair. I thought it would be good to have two pairs, especially when I’m prone to lose them.

I absolutely love how big these frames are! I’m a fan of bigger frames because I like the whole covering your face with sunglasses. Also, it’s a good sun protector in the California sun!

They also have so many other colors! Check them out! Have you heard of this brand before? If so, how did you like your sunglasses? Show me how you look in them as well! I would love to see!

Adieu,

Elizabeth

It’s my life. If I’m going to waste it, gonna waste it on you. It’s my life. If I’m gonna waste it — I’ll be wasted on you.

By on May 22, 2017

I’ve been listening to this song on repeat this past week.

It’s my life. If I’m going to waste it, gonna waste it on you. It’s my life. If I’m gonna waste it — I’ll be wasted on you. Look what you did to me. I tell myself if I’m gonna fall, it’ll be from high places even when it hurts. At least, we loved hard. Didn’t we, baby?” -Fletcher

I asked my boyfriend out on a date this previous Saturday (Saturday is usually our date day and we normally switch from planning. Sometimes.). I wanted this date to be a surprise, no special occasion, so the only thing I told him was to dress warmish and be ready at 4 PM for me to pick him up.

Note: This post lacks pictures because I didn’t take any. Whoops.
