This night is lonely, I can’t take any more

By on November 15, 2017

Some good news, I recently won a Give Away hosted by TBS for their show Search Party. It was an Instagram contest, and I can’t believe I won!  I’m not too sure which of the three prizes I won, but I hope I get the journal!

Search Party is a show that circles around a group of friends who becomes entangled in a mystery of a former college acquaintance suddenly disappears. I haven’t been able to find any shows that I really enjoy (besides the usual reruns of Futurama, Archer, and sometimes Family Guy), but I would definitely recommend it!

I don’t recommend this show to everyone, but TBS has all of season 1 episodes up on their site to binge watch until season 2 premieres.

Anyways, the 2nd season premiers this Sunday! Have you seen this show? Are you looking forward to season 2?

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

By on September 29, 2017

This is such a delayed post. I started this on May 19th.

May 19th:

—–

It came out on Friday, May 19th, but I didn’t have it shipped to my house. And Tim, being Tim, sent me an email of it being shipped out and delivered.

Oh, the anticipation!

I also pre-ordered the figures. I’ve been playing this game nonstop, and I love it so far. I set it to hard classic, so I’m having a quite a hard time because I forgot how hard it is to gain experience points.

Presently:

I finally have finished the game! The first week I played this game, I got to the 2nd arch, but I stuck on Alm’s battles. I set aside the game for the past few months until I settled into my apartment/studio. It feels so nice to finish the game finally!

I’m really glad that they decided to remake this version and release it to the United States because this is probably one of my favorite Fire Embelm storylines. The twist at the end made me do a sad face.

The last stage, when you’re in Duma’s temple is such a maze. I think I was circling around for a while until I figured out what to do. It was quite frustrating, and I don’t think the hint was as helpful as it could have been.

Anyways, now since I have finished the game, I think I’ll start on the cosplay. I don’t want to make the outfit yet, because I’ve been working on losing weight. I think I’ll start with the buttons and wig and all those other small things.

Have you guys played this game or any of the other games in the Fire Elmblem series? I think this will probably be the last game I’ll be playing for a while.

P.S.

Though there isn’t that many scenes where Celica and Alm are together interacting, I really liked their connection with one another.

It’s bright out

By on May 28, 2017

A couple of weeks ago, I was just writing out it’s been raining off-and-on, and I think the Bay Area is finally starting to warm up to spring! Since it’s spring, the sun is out and somewhat glaring. What does that mean? Sunglasses!

In a previous post, I wrote how I couldn’t forgive myself for losing so many nice pairs of sunglasses. Even though I haven’t been able to let go yet, it doesn’t mean that I don’t need sunglasses! I recently found this brand called Feisedy. The prices are decent, quite affordable, and I couldn’t find any negative review that made me not want to purchase them, so I decided to purchase two pairs.

The first pair I got was the silver/silver pair. This one goes with almost everything, so that’s a plus! The other pair I purchased was in gold/pink pair. I thought it would be good to have two pairs, especially when I’m prone to lose them.

I absolutely love how big these frames are! I’m a fan of bigger frames because I like the whole covering your face with sunglasses. Also, it’s a good sun protector in the California sun!

They also have so many other colors! Check them out! Have you heard of this brand before? If so, how did you like your sunglasses? Show me how you look in them as well! I would love to see!

Adieu,

Elizabeth

Bag talk: Gucci Dionysus (Review)

By on April 27, 2017

I’ve never been a Gucci fan, but I’ve been eying Gucci’s Dionysus bag for a while. After a good amount of time debating and having a bad week where my mentality went to “treat yo self,” I bought it.

I went back and forth if I wanted the original print or the one with the blooms embroidery Dionysus bag, but I stuck with the classic print.

(Images of the bags are from Gucci’s site)

I am thinking of getting the blooms print wallets, though. I’m not too sure which one yet, but these were the top ones that I’m thinking of getting:  garden floral wallet, Blooms card case, II variation of Blooms card case, III version of Blooms card case.

I know that buying material things don’t solve your problems, but there’s some comfort of having something you can call your own.

Anyways, off to my review on my new bag:
