Tea Party: I

By on April 13, 2017

11324066_819868228092107_1890298356_n.jpgI love tea time and going to high tea whenever I can. Next month, I’m planning to host a tea party! Lately, California has been fluctuating in weather, so I’m hoping in May the temperature will be warmer and it can be a tea party at a park.

In order to prep, I’ve been browsing online for recipes.  I’m going to ask everyone to bring their own teacup, but besides that, I am planning to make items from a typical high tea menu (sandwiches, pastries, scones, and different varieties of tea (hot and cold)).

I’M FINALLY GETTING INVISALIGN!

Woot, I’m going to be getting Invisalign! I went into my dentist’s office the other day to get my consultation, so that means getting my teeth molded and X-rayed. Now, the mold and the x-ray has to be sent to Invisalign itself to see if I’m a candidate for them (my dentist reassured me that I will be– still crossing fingers though!).  In about a couple of weeks, I should be hearing back from my dentist to come back into the office and see how my teeth will turn out with Invisalign.

Note: I’m not getting sponsored by Invisalign, or by my dentist, but I just want to document my journey and progress!

Ek, not such a great photo. Sorry about that!

I’m subscribed to Sephora’s Play! beauty box, and March’s month’s theme is glow! I’m always excited to get my box in the mail monthly. Besides the tips they give you in the pamphlet, they also email you a video with a Sephora Beauty Stylist of how to actually apply things on. I adore makeup, but it’s hard for me to shy from things I’m used to and having this Play! box introduces me to brands that I normally wouldn’t pick up or try. Also, all these sizes are great for travel / on-the-go and it all comes in this small drawstring bag! I haven’t been disappointed in any of the products I’ve received, as of yet, and I’ve been a member for almost a year. Anyways, off to the review!

THE SCIENCE OF KITTY CATS

By on April 5, 2017

I attended Crow Canyon Cat Club — Cat Show this previous weekend. I’ve never gone to a cat show prior to this. I heard about this show through Groupon, since they were doing discounted tickets. Groupon ended up lying, and those discounted tickets were for children only. Lucky me, I found some discounted tickets via Goldstar. The original tickets weren’t expensive, to begin with, but I think it’s because I saw them priced for really cheap and then not being true that made me want/ need to find a discount. Do you ever get like that?

The owner left this cat’s (grey cat above) toy on top of their cage, and I took that as an open invite to play with him. He looked asleep at first, but as soon as I put the feather in the cage he was awake and ready to play.

I knew I always liked Persian cats, but I don’t think how much until I saw these many of them. They are super fluffy and soft. Looking at this image now, it looks like the cat is meowing telling his/her owner to continue feeding them. I was watching the owner feed their cat, and they asked me if I wanted to pet them. Oh my gosh, when I petted this cat, it was the most fluffy cloud in the world.

The show was located at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. When I walked in, they had a booth of cats ready to be adopted. Walking further into the building, lots of the cats were in their cages or being groomed getting ready for their competition. Some of the cats that were out of their cages, either being groomed, fed, or relaxing.

RICK & MORTY !!

By on April 2, 2017

Futurama-castI have been a die-hard fan of Futurama for god knows since when. I have this ritual before finals I would binge all the seasons before actually studying. Yes, seriously, I always did this expect for one semester where I played the entire 1st game of Bioshock. That semester I was taking organic chemistry. Whoops, but the final turned out alright!

Two summers ago, while studying for the MCAT, I hopped on the Rick and Morty train. Yesterday, of all days, they released season 3’s 1st episode! Earlier in March, or maybe it was late February, they gave us a Rickroll. Haha, very funny.
